Sirja Sulakatko
CEO of Smartwork, pilot of the Work In Tech Finland program
Sirja joined Smartwork in 2019. Her role includes developing Smartwork activities in the direction of research, consultancy, and training in Finland and Estonia. She is the main contact point regards training and collaboration possibilities in Finland. She has experience in educational program development and lecturing at BA/MA and exMBA level. She has a Business Innovation MBA and is close to finishing a doctoral program at Turku School of Economics.
Majid Aleem
Co-pilot of the Work In Tech Finland program
Majid Aleem (Doctor of Science) is a Unversity teacher at Turku School of Economics with an IT Background. He specialises in developing and manging “Remote Work” environments and Global Virtual Teams. His work focuses on re-skilling the university graduates for the future work environments. As a co-pilot he is responsible of enhancing the program experience and the program impact for the Finnish learners.
Marleen Rootamm
Program manager in Estonia
Marleen joined the team in 2021 as a leader of the Work In Tech program in Estonia. She is the main contact point for programs related to Estonia. She has a Master’s degree in formal education leadership. She has been active in formal and non-formal education for more than 8 years, working both with adults and youth. She has acquired youth worker’s certificate thanks to her experiences. She has covered different roles – teacher/trainer, developing curriculums, developing learning materials and online programs, leading teams of youth and adults, studied the success of educational programmes, implementing upskilling programs for adults etc.
Ave Laas
Ave is the founder of the association and member of the management board. Ave`s main goal in the association has been to increase the balance between family and work within Estonian organizations. During her career at Smartwork, she has consulted several public and private organizations regards smart working practices, co-authored books, run bigger events and campaigns to enhance the awareness of smart working practices and collaborated with global organizations on several projects.
